Death match: Project Alpha is a science fiction side scroller, set in the 2330's. In the year 2334, the federation of human worlds roles out its newest colony vessel, Phoenix Red Warp. Supporting some one million colonists, the ship was a starship which towered above even the tallest battlecruiser. When the federation loses contact with Red Warp in 2336, near the Canary starsystem, it sends the Nova4 to investigate. However, something seems drasticaly wrong. There's no sign of the crew, the ships systems are dead, and it is possible that this disaster didn't happen by accident. Your mission is to find out exactly what happened to Red Warp's crew, and attempt to stop the federation in its tracks from completeing Project Alpha, a dangerous set of blueprints capable of transforming human DNA.
